Connecticut as early as the 18th century

Description:
Very uniform in shape and size. Large, oblong,
conical ribbed fruit.
Dark red deepening
to almost black. Greenish white flesh. Rich,
mild, sweet flavor and distinctive aroma.
Hangs long on the
tree but must not be allowed to over ripen as
flesh soon becomes dry.

APPLE BLACKTWIG

Arkansas 1868

Description:
Fruit large to medium with green to yellow skin,
flushed red. Flesh yellow,
very firm. The
ultimate in a tart apple. Tannic juice adds kick
to sweet or hard cider.

APPLE GINGER GOLD
Origin:
Golden Delicious type; Virginia
Season:
Harvest: mid to late August; Season: August -
September
Description:
Can be picked green but will turn an attractive
yellow with a blush if allowed to hang on the
tree.
Uniform fruit
size. Keeps up to 6 months in storage.
Tree
Characteristics: Vigorous tree habit but no
